How to Connect My Apple Device to the TV
Connect to the TV with AirPlay (iOS)
On Apple devices you’ll be able to use AirPlay for casting audio and video wirelessly. AirPlay is designed to work between Apple devices only. If both devices are connected to the same WiFi network, they’ll automatically detect each other, and you’ll be able to select the AirPlay connection in your phone’s settings, the same way you would with Bluetooth for connecting to wireless headphones. If the TV is not Apple you'll have to connect through a Chromecast device and Youtube or with an app.
If you decide to connect your iPhone or iPad to your TV with Chromecast and Youtube instead of AirPlay, first, you'll need to buy the Chromecast device, attach it to the TV and use the Youtube app. Don't access Youtube through the regular internet browser. It won't work.
Here’s how to screen mirror what is on your iPhone or iPad display:
If you have an iPhone X or newer or an iPad running iOS 12 or later, swipe down from the upper-right corner to reveal the Control Center. Otherwise, swipe up for Control Center instead.
1- Tap the “Screen Mirroring” button and Select your Apple TV from the list. (If you have multiple Apple TVs, consider labeling each one based on the room it’s in.)
2- On your iOS device, enter the four-digit code that appears on your TV screen. (By default, you’ll only need to do this once for each device.)
To disconnect from the TV, follow step 1 and then select “Stop Mirroring” from the list.
Note: If you have a smart Samsung TV from 2018, 2019 or 2020 you can use AirPlay 2 with no problem because it is Airplay 2 ready. Please follow the link below to connect your iPhone or iPad to a smart Samsung TV:
